These ORGANIC COTTON PILE SOCKS are knitted on Yamaya’s custom-made knitting machine in Italy, both have rib-knits and pile-knits. Inspired by British military socks, these socks with pile soles are an everyday essential. The rib-knits provide a gentle fit. The pile knitting on the bottom of the foot and the supportive elastic at the arch of the foot make them comfortable to walk and workout in. It goes up to the calf.

About ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton has a thicker air layer and better moisture retention. We use yarns that are spun by a well-established spinning company in Japan that knows and understands the quality of cotton. The white organic cotton is a blend of cotton from various sources such as the United States, India, Turkey, Africa, and Peru etc. The reason why we do not limit the production area is that the quality of the pesticide-free cotton produced in a given year inevitably varies depending on the weather and climate. The brown and green which is a sustainable colored cotton produced on Dr. Sally Fox’s farm in New Mexico, U.S.A.. She invented a colored cotton seed that can be spun into thread.

オーガニックコットンは、たっぷりの空気層で保湿性に優れます。 私たちは、第三者認証を得たものを使用しています。ホワイトオーガニックコットンは、アメリカ、インド、トルコ、ウガンダ、ペルーといった様々な産地からブレンドされた綿を使用。産地を絞らない理由は、天気や気候によってその年にできる無農薬のコットンの品質はどうしてもばらつきがでてしまうから。コットンの質を熟知する大阪にある老舗紡績会社様がその年々に合わせて紡績する糸を使っています。

ブラウンやグリーンは、茶綿や緑綿を使った自然なカラーです。サリー・フォックス博士(Sally Fox)が開発し、アメリカ・ニューメキシコ州にあるアルバレス農場で作られた、サスティナブルなカラードコットンを使っています。
